Lisa
Biography
Norway international Lisa Naalsund arrived at Manchester United in January 2023 with title-winning experience on her CV.
The midfielder lifted two Norwegian league titles with previous club SK Brann, over the course of four years with the club. Naalsund had previously started her professional career at fellow Toppserien side Arna-Bjornar, having progressed from the youth ranks. She represented Norway at several youth levels before making the step up to the senior team, making her debut against Sweden in June 2021, when she came on for future United team-mate Vilde Boe Risa. Upon becoming a Red, she said: “Manchester United is a great football club and I’m very excited to be here. The club is full of nice people and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the amazing fans.” Wearing the no.16 shirt, Lisa made her United debut in the FA Cup quarter-final away to Lewes on 19 March 2023. Hard work paid off for the Norwegian during her first full season at the club, in 2023/24, as she really hit her stride in the second half of the campaign and nailed down a regular place in Marc Skinner’s XI, starting 15 of our last 16 games across all competitions. A powerful strike from outside of the box in our FA Cup last-eight win away to Brighton was a highlight, as were the two goals she netted on the following weekend in March, as the Reds beat Bristol City.
